Lessons
Both Lesley & Leslie offer private and group lessons to horses and riders of all levels and experience. For those who chose to stay with us, training board includes a minimum of three lessons per week or, Leslie and Lesley riding your horse throughout the week. We also have a number of students who trailer in for lessons. We are committed to following through with our students by accompanying them to the horse shows and coaching them through the events as well. We work together with our students to help them plan their season leading up to whatever their goal may be. Please contact us if you are interested in becoming part of our team.
Clinics
Leslie Law holds clinics all over the United States, Canada and England. Lesley Grant is also available for clinics in North America. At times, both Lesley and Leslie combine their efforts at specific clinics.
Lecture Demonstrations
Tremendously popular in Europe, Leslie Law is available to do lecture demonstrations at your facility. Usually these exhibitions are done at night in an indoor facility in conjunction with a clinic but they do not have to be tied to a clinic. Nor do they have to be done indoors. During the demonstration, Leslie rides horses that are provided to him and talks his way through his ride to explain how he deals with the specific horse, how he is riding it, and what his plan would be in training the horses. Normally, three horses are used in the demo. One can be for dressage, one for show jumping and one for cross country simulation. Alternatively, one can be a young horse, one an intermediate horse, and one a quite experienced horse. If you are interested in hosting a lecture demo please contact us.
Sales
Leslie has partners in England, Ireland, Canada and Brussels, as well as numerous other contacts throughout Europe. If you should be looking to find that special horse abroad, If you have a horse for sale we would be happy to speak with you and see if we can assist in the selling of your horse. In most cases the horses come in on training board, are competed if necessary, and shown to potential buyers.
Leslie Law is the Athen's individual Olympic champion and team silver medalist. In the Athens Three Day Event he performed a personal best in the dressage with a score of 43.2 and following an uncomfortable moment at the water jump went onto complete an almost perfect cross country round with only 1.2 time penalties. In the final phase Leslie and team mate Pippa Funnell rode a clear round each in the team show jumping to secure team silver. Law then went on to jump a second clear round for individual honours; this performance, one of only two double clears elevated Law from fifth place to Olympic Champion. Know for his consistency, Law has a string of successes including a team silver in Sydney 2000, European team gold in 2001 and 2003 and World team bronze in 2002. Shear L’Eau who he rode into gold medal position in Athens is full brother to Shear H20 who was his Olympic mount in Sydney 2000. At last year’s European Championships in Ireland he was given the pathfinder’s role in the team for the first time and responded superbly with a faultless performance across country. His performance set up the British team for a successful defense of the European team title and he clinched the team gold with just one fence down in the final show jumping phase, finishing in fourth place individually. Leslie started riding at the age of 10 to compete with his brother Graham, who is also a successful event rider. He contradicts the popular image that event riders come from wealthy, privileged backgrounds, having grown up in a council house.
Since arriving in the United States in 2006 Leslie has racked up a huge list of accomplishments including: three time American Advanced Champion, Young Event Horse Champion and Reserve Champion, multiple CCI and CIC wins and top placings, and multiple CCI wins and top placings. He has found horses for and coached some of America's top young riders and has had many adult amateurs in the top placings at the American Eventing Championships.
Lesley Grant burst on to the Canadian Eventing scene in 2002 with two top horses, Snappy and Timber Spirit. With Snappy, sired by Queen’s Plate winner Fiddle Dancer Boy, Lesley completed both the 2002 and 2003 editions of the CCI Fox Hall Cup and also the 2003 CCI Fair Hill International before the mare was sold. With Timber Spirit, an English thoroughbred with impressive bloodlines, Lesley completed the CCI Fox Hall Cup two years in a row, the 2003 CIC World Cup Qualifier at Over the Walls Horse Trials and, in 2004, enjoyed top ten finishes at the CIC Dreamcrest Horse Trials and the CIC Red Hills Horse Trials. In 2005 and 2006, they added a 20th finishes at the CCI Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event to their impressive list of accomplishments. Lesley holds an honours degree in International Relations and Philosophy and a Masters degree in Human Rights from York University. She has been the elected Rider Representative for the 2005 and 2006 Canadian Eventing High Performance Committee and is also involved in the Athlete Development Program. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing and travel.
Since relocating to the United States in 2006 Lesley has as well: competed successful at the Red Hills CIC , Jersey Fresh CCI, produced three of the top young event horse finalists of the past few years and helped coach some of the fine young riders and adult amateurs involved in Law Eventing's program. She also writes a column for Chronicle of the Horse.
